About the Author

 Mary Cilia

I didn't start writing until I was almost . . .  Well, let's just say I had spent a lot of years doing other things.   Writing is so much more fun.  What a way to make a living!  Of course, at this point, I'm just getting started, so not actually making a living yet, but a girl can dream.

I grew up reading Agatha Christie and thought she was amazing, the way she put all the clues out there for me to see, but still surprised me in the end.  Sefiron's Shadow has some of that.  You'll have to let me know if I surprised you.  The fantasy books I love to read have characters that seem real, that I would like to spend time with.

Brandorin, started out with a lot of Thesues, but ended up with a bit of Richard Castle.

I didn't want a lofty, secretive wizard, so Caidos became a sweet old uncle, with a twist of Charlie Chan.

And since one of my favorite series of fantasy books is The Belgariad, by David Eddings, Salis was definitely influenced by Eddings' Silk.

Some of the greatest stories ever told came from Greek mythology, so there's a bit of that in there too.

Can't wait to hear what you think, so please let me know.
